With the successive promulgation of Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening Labor Education in Universities, Middle Schools and Primary Schools in the New Era issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, as well as Guidelines for Labor Education in Universities, Middle Schools and Primary Schools (for Trial Implementation) formulated by the Ministry of Education, the status of labor education among the "Five Educations" has been reaffirmed.

To strengthen students’ awareness of labor and give full play to the educational value of practical labor activities, our school has designed a rich variety of feasible labor practice courses and activities based on the age characteristics of students. We guide students from the classroom to nature, and from textbook-based learning to lively and experiential learning. In this beautiful autumn, the children stepped off campus, observed with their eyes, explored with their feet, worked with their hands, and experienced with their hearts. They embarked on a unique harvest journey, whispering to nature and conversing with life.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

"Act with sincerity; trust comes without words." Teachers gave our children detailed explanations about the growth and uses of animals and plants. They also patiently shared every skill and method for making delicious food and handicrafts. Every step was filled with respect and love for labor. The well-structured and effectively implemented labor courses have enabled labor education to take root, sprout and thrive.

Learning About Diverse Crops.

The children opened the gate to nature’s wonders and stepped into a plantation full of natural grace. After being tended in spring and nurtured in summer, the crops ripened quietly, ready for the children to pick.

In the cornfield, the children gently peeled back the corn leaves and plucked the golden corn ears, savoring the joy of harvest.

In the vineyard, they learned to select ripe grapes and experienced the sense of achievement from picking the fruits with their own hands.

In the vegetable garden, the children pulled cabbages, dug carrots, and picked pods. Each activity enabled them to gain a deeper understanding of the growth process of vegetables.

Through hard work, the children gradually gained experience and became more skillful. Chatting cheerfully with one another, they harvested while exploring and discovering new things. The smiles on their cheeks and the sweat on their noses were the happiness given by autumn, as well as a sincere gratitude for nature's selfless gifts.

Exploring a World of Colorful Activities.

Autumn leaves are nature's most exquisite artworks. The children created their first autumn artwork using leaves.

Their focused gazes, rigorous attitude, and pursuit of perfection all embodied a profound understanding and active practice of the craftsmanship spirit. By creating exquisite crafts with their own hands, the children not only cultivated patience and meticulousness through labor, but also subtly nurtured a life attitude of pursuing excellence.

The special birthday party was a surprise along our wonderful journey.

Nothing is impossible if you act.

"Spring ploughing, summer cultivation, autumn harvest, winter storage—when these four are observed in their proper seasons, the five grains will never cease." Nature is our book, and practice is the most beautiful hymn. Through this labor education themed practical activity, the children experienced the hardships of labor, cultivated the virtue of hard work, witnessed the joy of harvest, and tasted the gifts of nature... It was not only a wonderful journey, but also a spiritual and intellectual growth.
